Unveiling Hidden Canvases

The following week, Lorenzo arrived at the gallery to find Cael setting up an easel by the window, a sketchbook resting on his lap. Cael looked up, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"I thought...maybe it was time I started again," he said softly.

Lorenzo's heart swelled with pride. He walked over, sitting down beside him. "What are you working on?"

Cael hesitated before handing Lorenzo the sketchbook. It was a study of hands - strong, capable hands that held a paintbrush. Lorenzo recognized them as his own.

"It's beautiful, Cael," he murmured, his thumb brushing against the page. "Your talent is...it's incredible."

Cael smiled, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "Thank you."

Lorenzo took a deep breath, his gaze flickering between Cael and the sketch. "Would you...would you like to paint me sometime? Properly, I mean."

Cael's eyes widened in surprise. "I'd love to," he whispered.
