letter #3: to the one who thinks they aren't enough

dear you,

if you're reading this, maybe you've spent too many nights wondering what was wrong with you. maybe you've looked at everyone around you and quietly wished you were more like them, prettier, smarter, funnier, more talented, more lovable. maybe you've convinced yourself that no matter how hard you try, you'll never be enough. but let me ask you something.

who made you believe that?

was it the people who only noticed your flaws? the ones who made you feel replaceable? the ones who left without explaining why? or was it the countless times you compared your behind-the-scenes to someone else's highlight reel?

because the truth is, you've been measuring your worth using standards that were never meant for you.

you don't have to earn the right to be loved. you don't have to prove your value by overworking yourself, by constantly pleasing others, or by becoming someone you're not. your existence alone has worth. always has. always will.

there will always be someone prettier than you, smarter than you, or more successful than you. but there will never be another you. your kindness, your heart, your story, your resilience, they can't be copied.

i know it's hard to believe that when all you see are your imperfections. i know the mirror feels heavier on some days. i know the voice in your head can be cruel. but please, don't let that voice become the truth.

you are allowed to grow without hating who you are today.

you are allowed to make mistakes without calling yourself a failure.

you are allowed to take up space without apologizing for existing.

and on the days when you feel like you're not enough, remember this: flowers don't bloom at the same time, yet every single one is beautiful in its own season.

so be patient with yourself.

the person you're becoming is worth waiting for. and until the day you finally see yourself the way others do, let this letter hold the belief for you.

you were never "not enough." you were simply looking for your worth in places that could never give it to you.

with love,
??
