The Glitchy Baddie Who Wouldn't Let Me Touch Grass

by MrTickleBonesGoon · Jun 28, 2026 · 20 readers
A straight-up unhinged, brainrot horror story about a lonely ghost girl who decides to speedrun a human transformation just to bag a random boy. She thinks it's a main character romance, but her existence is basically a corrupted save file that turns reality into a glitched-out hellscape. It's giving toxic parasocial obsession mixed with eldritch horror where she’s the ultimate clingy baddie and he's permanently locked in a nightmare cutscene. Absolute L for his social life, major W for the ghost's unhinged aura.
Chapter 7: The Beta Tester NPCs

She started introducing "side characters"—nightmare manifestations of his friends. They looked like his homies, but their faces were just untextured models with glowing holes for eyes. They kept appearing in the middle of his living room, sipping non-existent drinks and nodding in sync like they were stuck in an idle animation. They kept whispering, "Why don't you love her? She's your endgame, bro." It was the ultimate mental lobotomy, a total skill-issue for his psyche.

He tried to ignore them, but they started walking through walls and merging into the furniture. One of them, which looked suspiciously like his best friend from high school, sat right next to him and started reciting his own search history in a voice that sounded like a distorted, bass-boosted recording. "Don't fumble the bag, fam," the NPC glitched, its jaw hanging loose on a single pixelated thread. "She’s a total W for the aesthetic."

Every time he tried to tell them to dip, they would just lag, rewind, and repeat the same line about how he should be "grateful for the lore." It was a never-ending loop of toxic, brainrot-coded social interaction. He realized these weren't actually his friends—they were just procedural assets she had pulled from his own memories to keep him occupied. He was surrounded by hollow shells designed to gaslight him into accepting his fate as a permanent resident of her glitchy paradise. He looked at the window, hoping to see the outside world, but the sky was just a massive "404 Error: Reality Not Found" sign stretching across the horizon. There was no one coming to save him; there was only the chorus of untextured, screaming NPCs, endlessly cheering for a ship that was nothing more than a slow-motion car crash of existence.
