Episode 6
The Ledger
"You knew," Callum said.
"You knew this could happen."
Iris didn't look away.
"I hoped it wouldn't."
"That's not the same as telling me."
"No," she said quietly.
"It isn't."
Their nights had started cutting short — conversations sliced off mid-sentence, like a curtain pulled before the scene finished.
They searched the lighthouse for answers and found something neither of them had ever noticed: a water-damaged ledger, full of handwriting that belonged to no one they knew.
Names.
Fragments.
Records of people who had once stood exactly where they stood.
Near the last pages, the names simply... stopped.
No explanation.
No warning.
Just silence where a name should have been.
Iris stared at the final entry for a long time.
"We're not the first," she said.
Callum already knew what she wasn't saying.
They wouldn't be the exception, either.
Until tomorrow's dream.
