Chapter 1

there was nothing extraordinary about the day they met, yet somehow, it became the beginning of something neither of them expected.

a boy who smiled like he had already memorized the stars hidden behind cloudy nights, and there was a girl who laughed as if every broken day could still end beautifully.
they met somewhere between almosts and maybes, where stolen glances became conversations, and conversations became the safest place they knew.

he loved her in the quietest ways—
waiting for her posts, remembering the smallest details, and wishing every interactions could last a little longer.
she loved him too, though neither of them ever found the courage to let those words escape. instead, she hid them behind playful jokes, lingering looks, and "take care"s that meant much more. they were never lovers.

they were simply two hearts walking side by side, pretending friendship was enough to silence everything they truly felt.
people always asked, "what are you two?"
they would only smile, because there was no name for a story that lived between holding on and letting go. and maybe, they thought, this wasn't their time. maybe life was only teaching them how to love without possession, how to wait without certainty, and how to hope without promises.

so they stayed, meeting halfway between fate and fear, carrying a silent wish that one day, when the timing was finally kind, they would no longer be the boy who loved the girl or the girl who loved the boy— they would simply be us. and until that day arrives, they'll keep believing that some stories are meant to begin with a quiet "not yet,"
so they can finally end with a beautiful

someday.
