CHAPTER ONE
The Coffee Incident

Ethan Reyes had three rules in life.

He had dark hair, a white shirt, and a backpack hanging from one shoulder. His expression suggested that he had already decided Ethan was the most irritating person he had ever met.

Ethan stared at him.

The stranger stared back.

For several seconds, neither moved.

Then the stranger picked up his coffee cup.

The stranger raised an eyebrow.

A few students nearby began watching.

The stranger looked around, clearly annoyed.

"My name is Noah," he said. "And I have somewhere to be."

He turned to leave.

Slowly, he turned around.

He only knew that this stranger had ruined his morning, destroyed several pages of his work, and somehow managed to make him feel like the unreasonable one.
